VP warns against deterioration of security conditions after recent bombings

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq’s Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi warned on Friday against the deterioration of security conditions, mainly after the recent bombing attacks in Najaf and Anbar, according to a statement of his office.
“The vice president called upon citizens to cooperate in following up security conditions and to be careful,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
A suicide bomber blew up a car bomb in al-Saqlawiya district in north of Falluja on Wednesday (Jan. 13), killing one man and injuring seven.
Yesterday (Jan. 14), a media source had said that one civilian was killed and 77 were wounded in three synchronized blasts occurred in two close places in central Najaf.
