Army-police clashes leave 2 wounded

DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Two policemen were wounded in clashes that erupted between the Iraqi police and the Iraqi army in the district of Baaquba on Friday, a security source in Diala said.
“Clashes broke out on Friday in the area of al-Ghalibiya, Baaquba, between personnel from the Diala Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Iraqi army soldiers. Two police were wounded in the fire exchange,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
It is not yet clear why these clashes broke out.
Baaquba, the capital city of the restive province of Diala, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
