27 arrested during raids in Basra

BASRA / Aswat al-Iraq: Twenty-seven persons have been arrested during raids in different parts of Basra, a local security source said on Saturday.
“Four Kalashnikov rifles, a sniper’s gun and two shells have been seized during the operations,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The Shiite city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
