Airforce receives 6 new aircraft

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi air force on Monday received six new U.S.-made aircraft that will be stationed in Kirkuk.

“This comes as an Iraqi-U.S. project,” Commander of the Iraqi air force said during a celebration to receive the aircraft.

For his part, the commander of the U.S. air force described the day as historical.

“This is a success for the Iraqi-U.S. partnership,” he said.
