12 civilians wounded by roadside bomb blast in Babel

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: At least 12 civilians were wounded Wednesday in a roadside bomb explosion in north of Hilla, a police source said.
“A local-made bomb went off Wednesday morning (Oct. 21) at a livestock market in al-Asriya village in al-Askandariya district, north of Hilla, injuring 12 civilians,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The blast caused severe material damage to the market,” he added.
Hilla, the capital of Babel, lies 100 km south of Baghdad.
