Joint night patrols in Amara to limit stealing houses

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: Police and army forces started on Wednesday a joint night patrols to limit stealing houses in Amara, a commander of the 5th brigade of the emergency police said.

“Police and army forces started 12 night patrols as of 7:00pm until 5:00am to limit stealing houses in the city of Amara,” Major Salem Hamid Ubeid told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The province witnessed several wide-scale stealing operations in the past two months by armed groups,” he said.

Amara, the capital of Missan, lies 390 km south of Baghdad.
