BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi government will give priority to investment and services projects in its budget for 2010, a member of the parliamentary oil and gas committee said Tuesday.

“A price of $60 a barrel for Iraqi oil will allow an investment dimension in the 2010 budget,” Abdulhadi al-Hassani told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“This is the highest price that the government can employ for budget purposes,” he said.
He pointed out that current oil prices are around $70 a barrel, adding they are not expected to fall below $60 U.S. dollars.
