Sticky IED explodes in front of house of oil employee

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A sticky improvised explosive device (IED) on Wednesday went off in front of the house of an employee working for Baiji refinery, a security source in Ninewa said.

“The explosion caused damage to the house, located in al-Qayara district (60 km south of Mosul), but no casualties have been reported,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
