IED that targeted pilgrims dismantled in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: An anti-bomb squad personnel on Thursday defused an improvised explosive device (IED) in eastern Baghdad, an Iraqi police source said.
“Intelligence tip-offs have led a team of explosives experts to dismantle an IED planted near the al-Jaysh canal in eastern Baghdad,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The IED was supposed to target pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Musa bin Jaafar,” the source added.
He did not give more details.
