Gunmen kill civilian in Abu Ghraib

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Gunmen on Saturday killed one civilian in al-Wadi village, northern Abu Ghraib suburb (west of Baghdad), according to a security source.
“The incident took place at noon,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The gunmen were driving a small saloon car,” he said.
“They opened fire on a civilian in the village,” he added.
The source pointed out that the victim died instantaneously.
“Police forces cordoned off the incident’s area,” he explained.
“Search will continue to find the gunmen who have escaped to an unknown place,” he noted.
Abu Ghraib suburb lies 19 km west of Baghdad.
