BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Four electricity towers went down Friday due to acts of sabotage with explosive charges that targeted the Baiji high-tension power line in western Baghdad, said the official spokesperson of the Iraqi Electricity Ministry.
“The attack will negatively affect electricity supply to Baghdad,” Aziz al-Shimari told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Each tower weighs 60-70 tons, and it would take the ministry technicians some time to rehabilitate the four towers,” he said.
