More blasts rock Baghdad, 33 killed or wounded

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Three civilians on Monday were killed and 30 others were wounded when an explosive device ripped through a marketplace in Baghdad, according to a local security source.
“Today, an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in a popular market in al-Shaab area, northeastern Baghdad, killing three and injuring 30 others,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The blast is the fifth to hit the capital today.
Earlier in the day, three civilians were killed and seven others were wounded in a suicide bombing in Abu Ghraib area (20 km west of Baghdad).
Also, a car bomb detonated in Sabaa Qosoor area of al-Karada, downtown Baghdad, killing five civilians and injuring 20 others.
Meanwhile, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) went off in al-Hubaibiya area of eastern Baghdad, killing three civilians and wounding 15 others.
