IED wounds 2 cops in Anbar

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Two policemen on Tuesday were wounded in an explosive charge blast in eastern Falluja city, according to a local police source.

“This morning, an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a police patrol vehicle in Nahr Faleeh area, eastern Falluja city, wounding two patrolmen,” Captain Iyad Mohammed al-Zubaie told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The captain did not provide further details.
Falluja was a scene of armed conflict between U.S. and Iraqi forces on the one hand and al-Qaeda gunmen on the other.
Falluja, the largest city in Anbar, lies 45 km west of Baghdad; while Ramadi, the capital of the province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
