Senior Interior Ministry official shot down in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A senior officer in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior on Sunday was killed by unidentified gunmen in the capital Baghdad.

“This evening, unknown gunmen opened fire on Brig. Ahmed Kadhem while he was inside his car with his family on al-Sinaa St, eastern Baghdad,” a police source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Kadhem was seriously wounded and died on his way to the hospital,” the source added.
