Body with slit throat found in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Policemen found a body with a slit throat in western Mosul city on Sunday, a security source within the Ninewa police department said.

“The body was found in the al-Islah al-Ziraie area, western Mosul. The throat was found slit but the head was not separated,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The body, found dumped on a street in the area, showed no signs of having been shot,” the source added, not giving further details.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
