12 suspects arrested in Dalouiya

SALAH EL-DIN / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi army forces arrested 12 suspected gunmen during a crackdown operation in Dalouiya district in Salah el-Din, a police source said on Friday.

“A force from the 14th brigade of the Iraqi army, in cooperation with police forces, on Thursday (Mar. 26) raided al-Jubur region in central Dalouiya, imposed a curfew and waged crackdown operations, during which 12 suspected gunmen were arrested,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“Abdullah Reece Ahmad, a journalist, and four of his brothers are among of the detainees,” he added.

Dalouiya is administratively affiliated with Salah al-Din province. It lies 90 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
