Gunmen kill civilian in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: Unknown gunmen killed a civilian inside his house in central Kirkuk on Tuesday, a security source said.

“Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a civilian inside his house in Sommr neighborhood in front of the Kirkuk Chamber of Commerce in central Kirkuk, and fled to an unknown location,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The dead man was a retarded and his body was sent to the forensic medicine department,” the source added, noting that investigation underway into the incident.

Kirkuk lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad.
