39 detainees released in Ninewa

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 39 detainees were released from Ninewa jails after they were cleared of all wrongdoing, according to a local security source.

“Those released included three detainees who were freed under the Amnesty Law,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The release was conducted under the supervision of Staff Maj. Gen. Khaled Hussein al-Hamdani, Ninewa’s police chief, the source added, providing no further details.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
