2 al-Qaeda leaders arrested north of Babel

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: Personnel from the Scorpion Force on Monday arrested two al-Qaeda leaders in northern Hilla city, a senior police officer said.
“The forces raided the gunmen’s hideout in Agrash region in al-Askandariya district in northern Hilla, where they arrested two al-Qaeda leaders,” Major Majed al-Emara told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The detainees are suspected of implementing killing and bombing operations,” he added.
Hilla, the capital of Babel, lies 100 km south of Baghdad.
