12 people arrested in Baghdad in 24 hours

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 12 suspects and wanted men were arrested and 14 bombs were defused during security operations launched in the past 24 hours in Baghdad, the Baghdad Operations Command (BOC) said on Monday.
“Iraqi security forces arrested three wanted men in al-Karkh and eight others in al-Rasafa, including three suspected gunmen, and arrested a wanted man in Baghdad’s suburbs,” General Qassem Atta told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“14 bombs were defused and one kidnapped person was released,” Atta added, noting that 14 displaced families returned to their houses in the capital.
