27 arrested on criminal, terror charges in Karbala

KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Twenty-seven persons on Sunday were arrested during a wide-scale security operation that covered different parts of Karbala province, according to an official source.

“Those arrested are held on terror, murder, theft and kidnap offences, and will be brought to court,” an official spokesperson for Karbala’s operations command, Maj. Alaa Abbas, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
