7 arrested, 14 IEDs defused in Baghdad – BOC

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Forces from the Baghdad Operations Command arrested seven people, a number of them wanted, seized several unlicensed vehicles, and defused 14 improvised explosive devices in different areas of Baghdad during the past 24 hours, according to a BOC statement on Sunday.
“The operation covered the areas of al-Mansour, Sadr City, al-Kadhemiya, al-Rasheed, New Baghdad, al-Rashidiya, Abi Ghraib, al-Mahmoudiya and al-Taji,” read the released as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The BOC noted that several weapons and munitions were seized inside a cache, adding six displaced families have returned to their original homes.
