Unknown corpse found in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces found an unidentified body with signs of having been shot north of Mosul city, a security source from Ninewa province said on Thursday.

“The body was found at the Telkeef district intersection, north of Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The corpse, of a man in his forties, showed signs of having been shot in the chest and head,” he added.

“The body was removed to a morgue in the city,” the source said, not giving further details.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
