2 wanted men arrested in Amara

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: Two wanted men were arrested and an amount of weapons and ammunition were seized in southern Missan on Tuesday, the media director of the Missan police said.
“Joint police forces raided Abu Zaid village between al-Kahlaa and al-Majar al-Kabier districts in the south of Amara,” Colonel Sadeq Slam told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The forces arrested two wanted men and seized 249 hand grenades, 5 Kalashnikovs, and 17 mortar shells,” he added.
Amara, the capital of Missan, is 390 km south of Baghdad.
