5 tons of explosives seized in Babel

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: An Iraqi army-police combined force on Monday seized five tons of explosives and a large quantity of ammunition in a raid operation in northern Babel, said a security source from the province’s police.

“The operation took place in al-Khidhir area of al-Iskandariya district, 50 km north of Hilla city,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“Using advanced tools has been aiding in the success rate of raid operations,” he added.
