103 wanted men, suspects captured in Basra

BASRA / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 103 wanted men and suspects have been arrested during a wide-scale security operation in Basra province, the media office of the local police said on Monday.

“During the operation that covered different parts of Basra province, 12 unlicensed vehicles and nine motorbikes were seized,” the office told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The Shiite province of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
