4 wanted persons captured north of Kut

WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: Combined Iraqi forces captured four wanted persons north of al-Kut city, a security source in Wassit said on Sunday.

“Iraqi army and police forces raided several houses in the district of al-Aziziya, (90 km) north of Kut, on Saturday (March 14) evening, arresting four persons wanted for terrorist charges,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The arrested men are accused of involvement in armed operations against innocent civilians,” the source added.

Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad.
