Over 1,750 displaced families return home in Wassit

WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: More than 1,750 displaced families have returned home in Wassit throughout the current year, the director of the province’s displacement and migration office said on Saturday.

“These families had fled the province at a time when violence was escalating,” Bacim Mohammed told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad.
