Gunmen kill policewoman in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Unknown gunmen killed a policewoman in central Mosul city, a security source from Ninewa province’s police said on Saturday.

“The incident occurred in al-Sarai market, downtown Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The gunmen opened fire on the policewoman, killing her on the spot in front of passers-by,” he said.
The source pointed out that the policewoman was on vacation, shopping in the market.
Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
