20 wanted men nabbed in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Twenty wanted men on Wednesday were arrested on criminal charges in different parts of Thi-Qar province, according to a police statement.

“Twenty wanted persons have been arrested on criminal and terror-related charges as part of a campaign launched by the General Police Department in Thi-Qar to execute arrest warrants that have been pending for years,” read the statement that was received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Those arrested have been referred to the court,” the statement explained.

Nassiriya, the capital city of Thi-Qar province, lies 380 km south of Baghdad.
