Kirkuk blast leaves 11 casualties, including students

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: The car bomb explosion that occurred earlier today near a school in southwestern Kirkuk city has left one dead and 10 others wounded, including students, according to a police chief.

“The car was stolen and had a forged license plate,” the official told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Earlier today, a police source said that a car rigged with explosives detonated near Raba al-Adawiya School in Tiseen neighborhood, leaving an unknown number of civilian casualties.
Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
