67 arrested on criminal charges in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 67 wanted men have been arrested throughout the past 24 hours in Thi-Qar province, according to a police statement.

“During search raids in different parts of the province, 49 wanted men were arrested on criminal charges, including murder, kidnap and robbery; and 18 others on serious charges,” according to the statement that was received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“An RPG rocket was seized in light of intelligence tips,” the statement added.
Nassiriya, the capital city of Thi-Qar province, lies 380 km south of Baghdad.
