9 al-Qaeda gunmen arrested in central Baaquba

DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Thursday arrested nine al-Qaeda gunmen in central Baaquba, the chief of the Diala police said.

“Police forces waged a crackdown operation in al-Mafraq and al-Katoun neighborhoods in central Baaquba, where they arrested nine al-Qaeda elements,” General Abdul Hussein al-Shemri told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
