Army seizes 400 mortar shells in Amara

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi army troops on Wednesday seized 400 mortar shells in central Amara, the media director of the 10th division of the army said.
“A force from the 38th brigade of the 10th division of the Iraqi army on Wednesday (March 4) found 400 mortar shells hidden in the industrial region in central Amara,” Colonel Aziz Swelam al-Atabi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The operation was launched on a tip-off,” he added.
Amara, the capital of Missan, is 390 km south of Baghdad.
