Iraqi ambassador to Qatar presents copy of credentials

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi ambassador in Doha on Tuesday presented a copy of his credentials to the Qatari minister of foreign affairs, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.

“Ambassador Jawad al-Hindawi presented his credentials as an ambassador of Iraq in Doha to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmad Abdullah Al Mahmoud,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The diplomat conveyed the Iraqi government’s desire to open the Qatari embassy in Baghdad and asserted its desire to foster bilateral cooperation,” the statement added.

“The Qatari minister valued the Iraqi government’s decision to send an ambassador to Qatar and expressed the Qatari government’s desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation,” it noted.
