6 wanted men arrested in Basra

BASRA / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Tuesday arrested six persons “wanted for terror and criminal cases” throughout Basra, and seized quantities of ammunition in the west of the province, said the Basra police’s media office.

“Basra police conducted a raid campaign throughout the province,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The forces seized four grenades in Safwan area, 60 km west of Basra city,” he added.

The oil-rich city of Basra lies 590 km south of Baghdad.
