KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: Five persons, including wanted men, on Tuesday were arrested in western Kirkuk province, according to a local police chief.

“During an early hour this morning, a force from the local police and Iraqi army launched a search raid in the villages of Malha and al-Tuwailaa (45 km west of Kirkuk city,” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Five persons, including members of al-Naqshabandiya group, were arrested during the raid,” Qadir explained.
Al-Naqshabandiya is a group that introduces itself as an Islamic spiritual dogmatic organization, but its ideologies changed into ones of armed struggle against the occupation forces.
Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad.
