Ammo cache found in Babel

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Tuesday found large amounts of explosives in northern Hilla city, according to a security source.

“Today, a police force launched a wide-scale search across al-Monshaat neighborhood (50 km north of Hilla), where it found 4,000 kg of TNT explosives, 1,500 kg of C4 explosives…inside a house,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The search was conducted in light of intelligence tips from local residents,” the source added.

Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km south of Baghdad.
