3 ex-candidates for Muthanna provincial election arrested

MUTHANNA / Aswat al-Iraq: Three out of nine ex-candidates for Muthanna provincial election who are wanted for forging their educational documents were arrested, a local investigating judge said on Monday.
“All of the nine candidates did not win the election,” Abdelameer al-Shemmary told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Those arrested will be admitted to court soon,” he said.
“Security forces are working on arresting the other six,” he said.
Samawa, the capital city of Muthanna province, lies 280 km south of Baghdad.
