Car bomb, arms cache discovered in Falluja

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: A booby-trapped car and an arms cache were found on Wednesday in northern Falluja city, according to an official police chief.

“Falluja police department received intelligence tips from local residents about a suspicious-looking car in a deserted area in al-Mukhtar village, northern Falluja,” Col. Mahmoud al-Issawi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Near the location, the police found a cache containing arms, 12 Katyushas, 10 explosive devices, 10 hand grenades, and 14 Austrian-made rockets, the official noted.

Falluja, the largest city in Anbar, lies 45 km west of Baghdad; while Ramadi, the capital of the province, is 110 west of Baghdad.
