Gang detained in southern Basra

BASRA / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Tuesday arrested a dangerous gang in southern Basra province, the media office of the Basra police said.
“A six-element murdering and looting gang was arrested by police forces in Abi Khasieb region in southern Basra,” the office told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The operation was launched on a tip-off,” it added.
Basra is 590 km south of Baghdad.
