Ammo found in Missan

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Tuesday seized an amount of ammunition in southern Missan province, the director of the media department of the Missan police said.

“Policemen seized 186 land mines, 12 cannonballs, 6 mortar shells in al-Batoul region in al-Kahlaa district in southern Missan,” Colonel Sadeq Salam told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He did not add more details.

Al-Kahlaa district lies 20 km south of Amara city, the capital city of Missan, which is located 390 km south of Baghdad.
