2 women injured in attack on PUK in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Unknown gunmen on Tuesday threw a hand grenade near an office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), injuring two women, a police source said.
“The gunmen threw the bomb near the office of the PUK in al-Jazaer region in eastern Mosul, injuring two women,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, led by President Jalal Talabani, is one of the two main Kurdish parties.
A sticky bomb went off on Monday (Feb. 23) near an office of the PUK in al-Faisaliya neighborhood in eastern Mosul, without leaving casualties.
Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
