7 persons arrested in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: Seven persons, including wanted men, on Tuesday were arrested in Kirkuk province, according to a local police chief.
“Today, a joint Iraqi-U.S. force conducted a search raid in three Huweija villages (65 km southwest of Kirkuk city) and captured seven persons, including wanted men,” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The source did not provide more details.
Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad.
