ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Thirteen persons believed to belong to armed groups were arrested in eastern Falluja, a police source said on Sunday.
“The arrests were made in light of intelligence tips,” Lt. Col. Walid Nouri told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“One of those arrested confessed during preliminary interrogation that he is the leader of the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq’,” Nouri noted.
