6 detained in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: An army force on Friday detained six wanted persons in a security operation conducted in northern Mosul, according to a police source in Ninewa province.

“The six were arrested in the area of al-Rashidiya, northern Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The detainees are remanded under investigative custody,” the source said, not giving more details.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
