6 suspects nabbed, IED defused in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi army forces on Wednesday arrested six suspects and defused an explosive charge in two separate incidents in Mosul, according to a media source.
“Those arrested were captured in al-Arabi neighborhood, northern Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Meanwhile, an army force has managed to defuse an improvised explosive device (IED) planted near Mohammed Taher Zinawa mosque in al-Nour neighborhood, eastern Mosul,” the source added, providing no further details.
Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 north of Bagdhad.
