Two roadside bombs defused in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Security forces defused two roadside bombs in al-Refaee suburb, southern Thi-Qar province, according to a release issued by Thi-Qar police directorate on Tuesday.

“The two explosive charges were planted on a road that links Nassiriya city to al-Refaee suburb (80 km south of the city),” said the release that was received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The release pointed out that the two bombs were locally made, and contained 2 kg of TNT very explosives.

Nassiriya, the capital city of Thi-Qar province, lies 380 km south of Baghdad.
