Suspect arrested following shooting in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi army forces on Tuesday arrested a suspect believed to have been involved in a shooting in southern Mosul, according to a security source.

“Yesterday evening, an Iraqi army force from the sixth Brigade arrested a suspect following a shooting that targeted an Iraqi army checkpoint in Baghdad St., southern Mosul…,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The force arrested a suspect, who was close to the scene of the shooting, the source explained.
Investigations are currently underway, the source added.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
