3 civilians killed, injured in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Two civilians were killed and another one was injured in two separate incidents in Mosul Monday, a police source said.

“A civilian was killed and another one was injured by gunmen on Monday (Feb. 16) in al-Midan region in central Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“Unknown armed men shot and killed a civilian in Mosul al-Jadieda region in western Mosul,” he added.

“The two bodies were sent to the morgue, while the wounded was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he also said.

Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
